Assessment of a novel genetic counselling intervention to inform assisted reproductive technology treatments and other family-building options in adults with cystic fibrosis

Abstract: Highlights It is unknown whether knowledge of CF-genetics influences family building views. Structured genetic counselling improved knowledge scores among individuals with CF. Genetic counselling and education did not alter perceptions of family building. Multiple discussions about fertility options are needed to reinforce key concepts.
