La productividad de los equipos ágiles representa un aspecto crucial para las empresas de desarrollo de software, ya que influye directamente en su desempeño y eficiencia, aspectos fundamentales para la búsqueda constante de mejoras. Diferentes estudios demuestran que la productividad de equipo en el desarrollo ágil de software (ASD por sus siglas en inglés) es un concepto abstracto, su significado aún sigue siendo objeto de estudio y se encuentra en construcción. Por otra parte, su medición se orienta hacia el establecimiento de diferentes factores de diversos tipos que generan una incidencia dentro del equipo, la organización e inclusive el mercado. El objetivo de este estudio consistió en identificar las métricas utilizadas para evaluar once factores clasificados en las categorías de significado, impacto y flexibilidad vinculados a la productividad de equipos en el ámbito del ASD. Este análisis se realizó mediante un mapeo sistemático de la literatura (MSL) dirigido según el protocolo de Petersen. Como resultado, se identificaron 37 investigaciones primarias en las bases de datos bibliográficas de IEEE Xplore DL y Scopus. Entre los hallazgos de esta investigación se incluye la definición de los factores elegidos, la determinación de métricas de productividad para cada uno de ellos y un intento de formalización matemática para algunas de estas métricas. Además, se notó que el 91.8 % de los estudios hacen referencia a factores de productividad asociados a la categoría de significado e impacto, mientras que son escasos los estudios que detallan factores vinculados a la categoría de flexibilidad.

It is very important to understand the metrics that are applied within IT processes in today’s industry, why they are important, and in what types of companies they are used. This article presents the results of a systematic literature review of some of the most widely used metrics exposed in the literature, referring to Scrum, ITIL and CMMi practices. The objective is to determine the scientific progress in this field and to identify the candidate metrics that can be used later in a metrics integration model, designed to help monitor IT services to improving the performance of organisations that use Scrum, CMMi and ITIL. The exploratory search found 1,196 articles, of which 198 were reviewed, from which 31 were finally chosen. From these, a total of 297 metrics were identified, of which 112 (38%) are for Scrum, 98 metrics (33%) are for ITIL, and 87 (29%) are for CMMi. Most of these metrics are used in European companies.

Indonesian startups actively embrace Agile development, but implementation can be difficult due to complexity, rapid change, and ambiguity. Scrum, the most popular Agile methodology, assists organizations in dealing with issues that arise during product development. Cultivating a Scrum culture can also take time, but truly implementing it can increase productivity, product quality, and customer satisfaction. Many businesses embrace Agile without first assessing their values and principles, resulting in poor performance. This study investigates how the value of Scrum is quantified and applied to digital startups, with the goal of understanding metric results for evaluation and recommending a better implementation of Scrum culture. A cross-case analysis study was conducted on three digital startups in Indonesia, with data collected through interviews. To evaluate and enhance Scrum implementation, a Values, Goals, Questions, and Metrics (VGQM) model developed from Scrum values was presented. Businesses demonstrated the same strengths in commitment and focus for Scrum values but needed continuous improvement in different values of respect, openness, and courage for better prioritizing requests and delivering feedback. Based on the findings, recommendations were made, including extensive training, cross-functional collaboration, assessing tools and processes, and establishing clear boundaries for customer satisfaction and productive work. Improving product backlog management and employing effective Scrum tools were also mentioned. There are no metrics used by the companies in order to evaluate scrum culture implementation in their organizations. The study suggests constantly retaining those values, while continuously improving the values of openness and courage.
