“…This study supports research by experts in the field regarding components that are considered important during the job hunting process (Broder, 1985;Dorn, 1984;Greenhaus, Hawkins, & Brenner, 1983;Jacobson, 1984;Kimeldorf, 1986;Levinson, 1985;Roessler & Bolton, 1984;Super, 1983). The results of this study also indicate, however, that occupational information is considered to be of medium importance to job hunters during the job search process, a component that has been considered in the literature (Banducci, 1984;Dorn, 1984;Greenhaus, Hawkins, & Brenner, 1983;Manuele, Warner, & Sharar, 1986) as vital to career development and career decision making. Respondents in this study considered regional or state and training or educational information as least important during the job hunting process.…”

The effects of such vocational training programs have been well documented (Koenig, 1990;Manuele, Warner, & Sharer, 1986). Manuele et al (1986), however, suggested that more research on different types of vocational training programs are needed to identify those components that contribute to the effectiveness of such programs.…”
