“…This study supports research by experts in the field regarding components that are considered important during the job hunting process (Broder, 1985;Dorn, 1984;Greenhaus, Hawkins, & Brenner, 1983;Jacobson, 1984;Kimeldorf, 1986;Levinson, 1985;Roessler & Bolton, 1984;Super, 1983). The results of this study also indicate, however, that occupational information is considered to be of medium importance to job hunters during the job search process, a component that has been considered in the literature (Banducci, 1984;Dorn, 1984;Greenhaus, Hawkins, & Brenner, 1983;Manuele, Warner, & Sharar, 1986) as vital to career development and career decision making. Respondents in this study considered regional or state and training or educational information as least important during the job hunting process.…”
