“…In this survey, the overall nutrition-related policies were the most implemented and policies related to alcohol consumption and IPA were the most neglected globally [73]. A lately conducted analysis on gaps of national targets of NCD action plan in Iran showed that among 105 actions and best-buy interventions recommended by WHO, only 12 of them were not considered in the national action plan of Iran, and only one of the best-buys Group's interventions was not included in the action plan, which was vaccination against human papillomavirus (HPV) in girls aged 9-13 years-old [74]. Achieving the targets needs persistent efforts and supports by the government and pertinent organizations [17,72].…”

“…Selecting drugs for the formulary or drug list through MCDA could therefore present a useful approach towards making more rational, more sustainable choices in the interest of the patients and the healthcare system. Examples for using quantitative MCDA approaches [ 22 ] in listing, purchasing, tendering, or pricing decisions for commonly used medicines have been published including those which formed the base for the implementation project reported in this paper [ 9 12 ] and others [ 23 26 ]. Here we focus on the question how to implement this new, MCDA-based decision process in hospital purchasing at the example of two case studies in Indonesia and Thailand.…”

“…Because of improved health standards, the establishment of national surveillance systems, changing lifestyle and increasing urbanization rates, the pattern of diseases has been transitioning from communicable diseases towards non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in the course of last two decades [20]. Previous studies showed that air pollution and other chemical contaminations have increased the burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), e.g.…”
