“…Age at onset, illness duration, and chronicity of episodes are routinely reported by patients to mental health providers during initial or pre-treatment evaluations. Currently, standard clinical practice guidelines call for a detailed assessment of symptom severity (as evaluated by clinician interview and self-report) to dictate selection of the most appropriate treatment modalities and frequencies (Kendall et al, 2014).
