“…The pathogen P. pachyrhizi survives whenever a soybean host plant is available and when the conditions favor ASR's development and further epidemic outbreaks (Akamatsu et al, 2013). According to Espolador et al (2020) obtaining ASRlines presents a great challenge, considering the genetic nature of the trait, given the properties of nonadditivity, low correlation, and dependence on multiple traits. Given the dynamic nature of the fungus P. pachyrhizi from year to year, continued studies on the identification of tolerant genotypes and management strategies are needed to further facilitate the adoption of edamame by Brazilian growers.…”
