“…One of the first limitations of this study is the usage of the cross-sectional approach, as the longitudinal approach adding more samples to the study would yield different interesting insights. Secondly, our respondents may have faced the social-desirability bias ( Braun et al, 2001 ) while reporting their emotions, PsyCap, and academic engagement a common phenomenon reported in past studies also ( Naji et al, 2022a , b ). Although we took measures like keeping the survey anonymous, and confidential, and not asking for the names or identities of respondents in any form, but still there is a tendency for individuals to rate themselves for generally acceptable behavior on a higher side and rate themselves on a lower side for undesirable/socially in appreciated actions/norms.…”

“…A few of the indices like CMIN (chi-square X 2 /degree of freedom), chi-square X 2 , comparative fit index (CFI), root-mean-square error of approximate (RMSEA), normed fit index (NFI), goodness-of-fit index (GFI), adjusted goodness-of-fit index (AGFI), Tacker-Lewis index (TLI) were used ( 71 – 73 ). All the values for each index were well under the criteria.…”

“…Unsatisfactory safety culture practices in the construction sector contributed to the high rate of accidents (Wu et al, 2016). This is the result of the contractor's attitude and their lack of awareness of the need to develop safety culture practices on construction sites (Naji et al, 2022). Most Malaysian contractors fail to create a culture of safety on the job site, especially among management and lower-level staff (Zaira & Hadikusumo, 2020).…”
