Assessing the Effect of Predicted Climate Change on Slope Stability in Northern Thailand: A Case of Doi Pui

Abstract: Landslide is a natural disaster which occurs very often in mountainous areas. Climate is an important determinant on the amount of moisture in the ground, which is a key to the stability of soil slope. Therefore, climate change due to the global warming may affect the intensity of rainfall and the evaporation in the future and influences situation of slope stability in a long time. The purpose of this study is to propose a method for assessing the effect of climate change on slope stability using general circu… Show more

“…The filling work was carried out manually, without using any construction equipment such as a rolling machine. According to the results of ground surveys implemented by Soralump et al 1) on the target slope, 2) the fill layer on the upper part of the weathered granite was 2.25 m thick, the property was classified as silty sand (SM)clayey sand (SC), and the void ratio was 1.519, and thus there was a relatively large fineparticle fraction. Characteristics of Fine Particle Distribution at Cut Slope and Fill Slope Comprising Weathered Granite…”

“…Monitoring biodiversity and ecosystems, in particular forest dynamic becomes common research topics for most research sites such as tree diversity, mortality, recruitment, and stand growth monitoring (Dhanmanond & Sahunalu, 1995; Sahunalu, 2009a, 2009b). In addition, ecohydrology in montane forests is the main focus at the Kok Ma (Chaithong, Soralump, Pungsuwan, & Komori, 2017). Recently land use change effects on species distribution, ecosystem services (Trisurat, 2010; Trisurat & Duengkae, 2011), and plant and wildlife functional traits are also focused (Asanok et al, 2013).…”
