Abstract: Introduction: Malignant pleural effusion is a common finding in patients with advanced cancer and is a frequent cause of dyspnea. Current guidelines indicate thoracentesis for symptomatic patients, while indwelling pleural catheters (IPC) are recommended for patients who develop pleural fluid re-accumulation.
