“…Based on the positioning of this logical relationship, a preliminary inference is made: AQI monthly mean is correlated with conventional meteorological factors. Using the bivariate analysis function in SPSS software, the correlation between AQI monthly mean and different conventional meteorological factors is tested respectively (see Table 1 for the results) so as to fit the optimal curve equation [ 11 , 12 ].…”

“…It is notable that the studied marina sediment largely exceeds north American standards of sediment quality for Chrysene, Fluorene, Fluoranthene and Phenanthrene (PAH) as well as for total PCBs, with a 50% probability of toxicity on model amphipods if they were exposed to the sediment (CCME 1999;US EPA 2005). On the contrary MTE pollution, even if above some of these sediment quality guidelines, falls within quality categories described as good or moderate for Cu and Zn as proposed in (Guerra-García et al 2021). Despite the significant effect of location variability on C. intestinalis as shown by the Log-Rank test, none of the contaminants varying significantly between locations could explain the survival profile of this species in the Cox models.…”

“…All the selected marinas are recreational marinas with leisure activities, and all have wood floating pontoons with lateral floating structures made of plastic, where the samples were collected. Details for these marinas (map, surface, number of births and population density) are included in Guerra-García et al (2021). Three different pontoons were haphazardly selected in each marina.…”

“…For example, they show wide oscillations of temperature and salinity, and higher pollution levels than nearby natural environments (Arenas et al, 2006;Bax et al, 2003). Previous environmental studies conducted in marinas have highlighted the relevant role of heavy metals, especially copper from antifouling paint, as one of the most harmful stressors for marine biota (Amara et al, 2018;Guerra-García et al, 2021). The great amount of submerged artificial surfaces within marinas, such as docks, pilings, pontoons, and buoys, allows for the establishment of many sessile organisms, which could act as basibiont species to other organisms (Minchin, 2012).…”
