“…There is evidence for the 5-week test–retest reliability of the Anxiety Scale (ρ = .84, ICC = .93) and the Depression Scale (ρ = .65, ICC = .62; Nowinski et al, 2008). Furthermore, there is evidence for convergent validity of the BASC Anxiety Scale (Schwanz, Palm, Thackray, & Hill-Chapman, 2009) and the BASC Depression Scale (Nowinski et al, 2008) with commonly used measures of anxiety and depression such as the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI; Spielberger & Gorsuch, 1983) and the Adult Self-Report (Achenbach & Rescorla, 2003). Internal consistency for the Depression and Anxiety scales in this sample was good (α = .81 and α = .85, respectively).…”
