Assembly of PbTe/Pb-based nanocomposite and photoelectric property

Abstract: PbTe/Pb-based nanocomposite was assembled by combining the regular PbTe/Pb nanostructure and the ZnxMn1−xS nanoparticles; the photoelectric property of the nanocomposite was measured in situ. The results showed that the through current of the nanocomposite had an obvious increase compared to that of the individual PbTe/Pb nanomaterial under the same irradiation conditions. The improvement of photoelectric performance would be attributed to the synergistic effect brought by the incident light and exciting light… Show more

“…The optical properties and thermoelectric efficiency of PbTe depend, in order, on the deep defect electronic states in the neighborhood of the band gap, and on larger values of the dimensionless figure of merit ZT [7]. ZT is given by ZT = S 2 T/rk, where S, r, T, and k are the Seebeck coefficient, electrical resistivity, absolute temperature, and thermal conductivity, respectively [8][9][10].…”
