Assays of Gamma‐Glutamyl Transferase and Carbohydrate‐Deficient Transferrin Combination from Maternal Serum Improve the Detection of Prenatal Alcohol Exposure

Abstract: Combination of GGT and CDT improves the identification of prenatal alcohol exposure and associated high-risk pregnancies. A more systematic use of biomarkers may help intervention efforts to prevent alcohol-induced adverse effects on fetal development.
