Aspergillosis in a Brahmini Duck (Tadoroma ferruginea, Pallus) - A Case Report

Abstract: Summary A case of aspergillosis is reported in a Brahmini duck (Tadoroma ferruginea), which presented irregular, firm, greyish nodules in the lung tissue. The size of nodules varied from pin head to pea size. Nodules on culture yielded Aspergillus fumigatus. Histopathological study of lung tissues revealed giant cells and granulomatous inflammation in haematoxyline and eosin (H & E) preparation.
