A.A. Miahkokhlib

Abstract: In recent years, the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has posed a significant challenge to global public health. Furthermore, infection with SARS-CoV-2 can result in acute respiratory distress syndrome due to excessive systemic inflammation, leading to multiple organ failure and eventual death. Furthermore, the challenge of reducing excessive systemic inflammation, specifically by decreasing the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines in response to SARS-CoV-2, remains unresolved. The use of glucocorticosteroids for SARS-… Show more

“…In case of complicated forms of COVID-19 SARS-CoV-2 in the form of irreversible respiratory failure, lung transplantation is performed. Indications for corticosteroids are considered [155], which is a severe SARS-CoV-2 infection leading to acute respiratory distress syndrome, with indications for oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, and ECMO. In the case of complicated forms of COVID-19 SARS-CoV-2 in the form of irreversible respiratory failure and the ineffectiveness of artificial ventilation, lung transplantation is performed [95,102].…”
