Pesquisas sobre empreendedorismo frequentemente resultam em inovações e novos negócios, além de subsidiar melhorias na atuação não só de empreendedores, mas também de investidores, governos e educadores. Frente ao crescente interesse da academia sobre comportamento empreendedor, diversos autores apontam a necessidade de sistematização da literatura sobre o tema. Esse artigo atende tal lacuna com enfoque nas seguintes abordagens: Effectuation, Bricolage, Co-creation, Exaptation e Improvisation. A abordagem metodológica é híbrida, combinando-se bibliometria, análise de redes e de conteúdo. Foram analisados 297 artigos indexados na ISI Web of Science publicados entre 2001 e 2018. Entre principais findings estão: a tendência de crescimento foi confirmada, com 77,8% dos artigos publicados nos últimos cinco anos; Saras Sarasvathy, que desenvolveu a teoria Effectuation, confrontando teorias clássicas consoantes com o Causation, é a autora de maior impacto; a produção científica concentra-se nos EUA, Inglaterra e Suécia, revelando oportunidades de pesquisa no Brasil; tendências de pesquisa envolvem o estudo do comportamento empreendedor nos contextos de pequenas empresas, sistemas complexos, ecossistemas de inovação e desenvolvimento sustentável e social. Research on entrepreneurship often results in innovations and new business development, contributing to entrepreneurs, as well as investors, governments and educators, being able to improve their performances. Given the growing academic interest in entrepreneurial behavior, several authors have pointed out the need to systematize literature on the subject. This article addresses this gap, focusing on the following approaches: Effectuation, Bricolage, Co-creation, Exaptation, and Improvisation. The methodological approach is hybrid, combining bibliometrics, network analysis and content analysis. The sample analyzed consisted of 297 articles, indexed in the ISI Web of Science database, published between 2001 and 2018. Results revealed that 77.8% of articles were published in the last five years, confirming the growth trend; Saras Sarasvathy, who confronted classical theories consonant with Causation by developing the theory of Effectuation, is the highest impact author; the scientific production is concentrated in the USA, England and Sweden, pointing to research opportunities in Brazil; research trends involve the study of entrepreneurial behavior in contexts such as small business, complex systems, innovation ecosystems and sustainable and social development.
