Abstract:In this article, an amplitude shift keying (ASK) modulator with defected ground structure (DGS) is proposed for UHF radio frequency identification (RFID) system. Proposed variable DGS resonator with a varactor diode will be able to adjust the resonance frequency to achieve the ASK modulation. The variable resonance characteristics can be obtained by controlling capacitance of varactor diode, placed on the defected ground. To clarify corresponding method, we manufactured RFID system board using variable DGS res… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
