Ascia‐p3: Anxiety in Paediatric Food Allergy – Involving Child Life Therapists to Assist Food Allergy Management

Abstract: Background: Diagnosis of eosinophilic oesophagitis (EoE) relies on endoscopy and biopsy, which is expensive, invasive and does not always capture the entirety of inflammation in the oesophagus. Diagnosis also includes testing for IgE-mediated sensitivities to food and inhalant allergens, however, currently their utility in guiding treatment has a low efficacy rate.
