A hipótese deste artigo diz respeito à possibilidade de leitura e apresentação do conceito nietzschiano de ideal ascético em uma concepção dialética. Nietzsche, no aforismo 26 da terceira dissertação da Genealogia da Moral, oferece indícios de que a própria estrutura do conceito se encontra em uma forma mercadológica. Os conceitos satélites do ideal ascético, como “sacerdote ascético”, “ressentimento” e “culpa”, também apresentam a mesma característica dialética, reforçando a tese da crítica nietzschiana. Então, para compreender melhor esse conjunto hipotético, recorremos ao conceito de mercadoria e fetichismo de Karl Marx, no livro I do Capital, com o objetivo de aprofundar a própria forma mercadológica na dinâmica dos ideais ascéticos.
