Abstract:Resumo O arquipélago de Marajó, localizado na foz do rio Amazonas, se tornou um dos mais destacáveis campos para o estudo da Arqueologia na região amazônica. Foi no século XIX que as primeiras investigações científicas e os primeiros estudos publicados sobre os tesos marajoaras emergiram.
