Artisanal fishery with surface gillnets and megafauna strandings

Abstract: Bycatch is an issue of worldwide relevance involving conflicts between conservation and fishery interests. In Brazil, this conflict has been highlighted in relation to the regulation of small-scale fishery with surface gillnets.
