This article presents an in-depth review of how group counseling, with an emphasis on mindfulness techniques and the impact of technology, plays a role in improving Student Career Maturity. Career maturity involves a deep understanding of career goals, the ability to manage challenges, and a willingness to continuously learn and develop. In this context, mindfulness techniques can be considered as an effective alternative tool for increasing career maturity. Mindfulness techniques have become a key element in this group counseling process. This research method uses Literature Study. The total number of articles used was 200 articles, divided according to the objectives of this research. Topics discussed, including group counseling, the use of technology in career development and student career maturity and obtained a total of 45 articles. Data extraction is carried out by preparing space to record information or sources. Data synthesis is carried out by summarizing and synthesizing these findings. The results obtained in this review, that the concept of career maturity can consider mindfulness techniques and the impact of technology in group counseling, and provide insight into how the integration of these two elements can provide real benefits in increasing students' career maturity. The development of information and communication technology has opened access to various sources of information and tools that can support the career counseling process. The use of online platforms, online resources, and technology-enabled counseling applications provides opportunities to provide more effective and affordable counseling services. In conclusion, group counseling with mindfulness techniques and the use of technology is a powerful tool in helping students develop their career maturity in this modern era.

Transparency and Trustworthiness in User Intentions to Follow Career Recommendations from a Learning Analytics Tool

Transparency and trustworthiness are among the key requirements for the ethical use of learning analytics (LA) and artificial intelligence (AI) in the context of social inclusion and equity. However, research on these issues pertaining to users is lacking, leaving it unclear as to how transparent and trustworthy current LA tools are for their users and how perceptions of these variables relate to user behaviour. In this study, we investigate user experiences of an LA tool in the context of career guidance, which plays a crucial role in supporting nonlinear career pathways for individuals. We review the ethical challenges of big data, AI, and LA in connection to career guidance and analyze the user experiences (N = 106) of the LA career guidance tool, which recommends study programs and institutions to users. Results indicate that the LA career guidance tool was evaluated as trustworthy but not transparent. Accuracy was found to be a stronger predictor for the intention to follow on the recommendations of the LA guidance tool than was understanding the origins of the recommendation. The user’s age emerged as an important factor in their assessment of transparency. We discuss the implications of these findings and suggest emphasizing accuracy in the development of LA tools for career guidance.

In recent years, despite the widespread success of artificial intelligence (AI) across various domains, its full potential in the field of education, particularly in filmmaking education, remains largely untapped. The purpose of this study is to explore the application of AI-generated programs in filmmaking education to address existing shortcomings in curriculum design. We employed a comprehensive approach, starting with an extensive review of existing filmmaking courses and AI-recommended courses. Subsequently, two rounds of in-depth interviews were conducted, involving both experts and students, to gain profound insights. We utilized user journey maps to visualize the participants’ experiences and feedback, complemented by a mixed-methods analysis approach for a comprehensive data assessment. The study revealed that both the experts and the students derived positive benefits from AI-recommended courses. This research not only provides a fresh perspective on the practical applications of AI in filmmaking education but also offers insights for innovation in the field of education. Theoretically, this study establishes a new foundation for the application of AI in education. In practice, it opens up new possibilities for filmmaking education and promotes the development of cutting-edge teaching methods. Despite limitations in sample size and geographical scope, this study underscores the immense potential of AI in filmmaking education. It provides directions for future research to deepen our understanding of AI’s impact on education.
