Arthroscopy Annual Awards: The “Old Normal”

Abstract

The term "new normal" has become too much a part of our lexicon of late, and our celebrations have been postponed or muted. Thus, as we begin this new year, 2021, and as we commence a new volume of Arthroscopy, the opportunity to announce our Annual Awards represents a much-needed opportunity to recognize and praise the pursuit and achievement of excellence. While acclaiming the best of our published research, as well as recognizing the continued dedication of our authors, reviewers, editorial team, and readers, we revel in the collective and altruistic goal of making life better for patients, advancing science, and always striving to improve our skills, knowledge, and outcomes.The odds of having one's original scientific research submission accepted for publication in Arthroscopy are long. 1 The odds of winning a research prize are more so, and this year, our research excellence committee, to a member, noted the especially high quality of the publications under consideration; choosing the winners was difficult. We thus congratulate all our winners and runners-up.
