Abstract: Background: Systemic sclerosis is a disease characterized by sclerosis of the skin, internal organs and vasculopathy. Articular manifestations are common, and include arthralgias, arthritis, and morning stiffness, which in some cases can be confused with rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
