“…The incorporation of the covalent crosslinker genipin (GNP) was demonstrated by the characteristic C O (amide I) and N–H (amide II) stretching bands shifting from 1656 and 1534 cm −1 to 1643 and 1526 cm −1 , respectively, in GNP@SP, SP@PRP-Exos and SP@MSC-Exos. In a study by Bao et al, the amide I and II bands were shown to shift to lower WN values in SF-based hydrogels due to the formation of an amide bond between the ester group of GNP and the NH 2 groups of SF [ 67 ]. Arjeh et al also demonstrated that after GNP crosslinking of spirulina protein-based hydrogels, a significant shift in the amide II band from 1529 to 1501 cm −1 was observed [ 68 ].…”
