“…In this respect the editorial position is clear, contributions are welcome which research, explore and evaluate learning and teaching practices in HE in art, design and communication. (Drew 2002) Looking back I think we can say that of the many subject centres formed ADM was a great success and has had a lasting impact on the subject areas it served. Now however, it has been subsumed into the centre of the HEA, no longer a separate identity and served only by one subject representative.…”

“…This research will ideally be carried out by sustained research engagement, or by some collaboration with those who do, and has the intention to increase awareness of studentfocused approaches to teaching. (Drew 2002) It seems appropriate to reflect here that the range of research approaches and themes have evolved around the same basic premise as in 2002.…”
