“…ECG abnormalities have also been described in dogs with ARVC, and include ventricular tachycardia (Fernandez del Palacio and others 2001), left bundle branch block (Simpson and others 1994), intermittent ventricular bigeminy (Bright and McEntree 1995), supraventricular tachycardia associated with right bundle branch block (Mohr and Kirberger 2000) and atrioventricular nodal premature complexes (Boujon and Amberger 2003).…”

“…ARVC has been reported in six dog breeds (Simpson and others 1994, Bright and And McEntee 1995, Mohr and others 2000, Fernandez del Palacio 2001, Boujon and Amberger 2003, Basso and others 2004, Santilli and others 2009) and in boxer dogs the presentation, familial transmission and pathology of ARVC has many similarities with the human clinical counterpart.…”

“…All canine cases reported have included the involvement of the right ventricle with either diffuse or segmental forms, the right atrium, the interventricular septum, the left ventricle and the left atrium. Right ventricle wall thinning was either diffuse or segmental and associated with a flattened appearance of trabeculae and prominent septoparietal bands (Simpson and others 1994, Bright and McEntee 1995, Mohr and others 2000, Fernandez del Palacio 2001, Boujon and Amberger 2003). Thirteen percent of boxers with ARVC had diffuse infiltration of the right ventricular myocardium with localised infundibular aneurysms (Basso and others 2004) while only one case of confirmed segmental RVOT ARVC has been reported (Santilli and others 2009).…”
