“…There is no literature which is suggestive of performance metrices for TBIs in Indian HEIs. The available indicators in the literature are mainly from developed countries and authors like Silva and Da Cunha (2018) opined that models for evaluating efficiency of incubator which can be used in one country may not be fully applicable in another country. Manimala and Vijay (2012) have categorically mentioned that the models for incubation used in western countries cannot and should not be applied in the emerging economies blindly.…”

“…Various indicators have been proposed in various studies for measuring performance of business as well as for technology incubators located in various countries. Various authors like, Manimala and Vijay (2012), Silva and Da Cunha (2018) are of the opinion that neither the performance measurement models which are being used for measuring performance of an incubator in western world should be used for measuring performance of an incubator in emerging economies nor performance models used for measuring performance of one type or class of incubator should be used for measuring performance of another type of incubator. It is pertinent to mention here that few authors like Sarfaraz A. Mian (Mian, 1994a(Mian, , 1994b(Mian, , 1996(Mian, , 1997(Mian, , 2011, Lalkaka (1996) Chan and La, (2005), Al-Mubaraki et al (2015), Wann et al (2017), Binsawad et al (2019) have used certain indicators for assessing performance of TBIs, whereas other studies have used them or similar type of indicators for assessing performance of other types of incubators and business incubation process in whole.…”
