Are Radiological Examinations Necessary for Mentally Handicapped Dental Patients?

Abstract: Bu çalışmanın amacı, zihinsel engelli veya uyum sağlanamayan hastalarda radyolojik muayene gerekliliğinin sedasyon altında elde edilen tomografik görüntülerle değerlendirilmesidir. Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmaya toplam 98 mental retarde veya uyum sağlanamayan hasta dahil edilmiştir. Hastaların radyolojik muayenesi konik ışınlı dental tomografi (KIDT) ile elde edilen görüntüler üzerinde yapılmış, sonuçlar ağız içi muayene sonucunda elde edilen verilerle ve tedavi sonuçları ile karşılaştırılmıştır.
