Access to architectural information has undergone great changes due to the global use of the internet. In the digital environment, the quantity of information and its 'free' availability create advantages compared to the high costs of editing and publishing books and magazines. This fact has resulted in a tendency to simplify the content with striking images and avoid information from texts that emphasise the philosophy of the project. Previous research indicates that both digital and analogical sources are complementary, but there is no examination of whether the search behaviours or the types of architectural information influence students’ results. This research aims to observe the digital and analogue access habits of architecture students and to delve into the reasons for these behaviours. A questionnaire on access to architectural information has been designed and validated, in which 170 undergraduate students from the School of Architecture of the Universidade da Coruña have participated. The results show that younger students focus on image-based social networks as a source of information, despite acknowledging that higher-quality information can be found in analogue sources such as books and magazines. Furthermore, it has been detected that information search habits influence student results, depending on the nature of the subject.

Bu araştırma ile sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının bilgi arama süreç tutumları ile bilimsel araştırma öz-yeterlikleri arasındaki ilişkisi ve yordama gücünün incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu genel amaç doğrultusunda, çeşitli değişkenler açısından anlamlı fark olup olmadığı araştırılmıştır. İlişkisel tarama yöntemine göre yürütülen bu araştırma evrenini 2021-2022 akademik yılında, AÜ, BÜ, BAYÜ, GOPÜ ve OÜ’si Eğitim Fakültelerinde öğrenim gören, Sosyal Bilgiler Eğitimi öğrencilerinden oluşmaktadır. Evrenin tamamına ulaşmak mümkün olmadığından “küme örnekleme” yöntemiyle seçilen, (n=158) öğrenci örneklemi oluşmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak, Çakmak (2016) tarafından geliştirilen “BASTÖ”, Akçöltekin (2019) tarafından geliştirilen, “BAOYO” ve “Kişisel Bilgi Formu” kullanılmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde t testi ve ANOVA analizi kullanılmıştır. Bağımlı değişkenler arasındaki ilişkisel bağlam için ise Pearson Korelasyon Katsayısı ve Çoklu Regresyon Analizinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, öğretmen adaylarının BAOYO algıları yüksek ve olumlu iken BASTO tutumlarının olumlu ve orta düzeyin altında değişkenlik göstermektedir. Cinsiyete göre, BASTO açısından kadın öğretmen adayları lehine, BAOYO ölçeğinde kadın öğretmen adayları lehine; Yaşa göre, BASTO ölçeğinde, 19-20 yaş aralığında bulunan öğretmen adayları lehine; Üniversiteye göre, BASTO ölçeğinde AÜ, OÜ ve BAYÜ’de öğrenim gören öğretmen adayları lehine, BAOYO ölçeğinde AÜ lehine; Bilgiye erişim eğitimi alma durumuna göre yapılan karşılaştırmalarda; BASTO ölçeğinde eğitim alanlar lehine, BAOYO ölçeğinde eğitim alanlar lehine, Bilimsel araştırma yöntemleri eğitimi alma durumuna göre yine eğitim alanlar lehine; Bilimsel araştırma deneyimi olma durumuna göre BASTO ve BAOYO ölçeklerinde araştırma deneyimi olanlar lehine yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Korelasyon sonuçlarına göre BASTO ile BAOYO ölçekleri arasında pozitif yönde “zayıf” ilişki olduğu, regresyon analizinde ise BASTO tutumlarının, BAOYO algısına yönelik varyansın %17’sini açıkladığını yani anlamlı bir yordayıcısı olduğunu göstermektedir.
