Architecting safety-critical decision-support systems for nuclear emergency management

Abstract: We present the architecture of the new ABR-KFUE decision-support system for nuclear emergency management used in Germany. Such systems assist decision makers in taking countermeasures in case of releases of radioactive materials into the environment. The specificity of these systems is that they use simulation software in a safety-critical application context.
