Abstract-Nowadays, the domain of sensor networks constitutes a very active research field. People are using a lot of low cost networks. As a result, they are facing an important energy management problem. Consequently, Researchers have tried to ensure long life to networks [1]-[8]. LEACH, PEGASUS, TEEN and APTEEN are pioneers in the reduction of WSN energy consumption. Generally, cluster heads (CH) and nodes close to the station die quickly in sensor networks. Cluster heads consume more than simple nodes. Also, the needed energy for the formation of clusters is very high in sensor networks.We propose an algorithm that aims at reducing the energy consumption in the formation of clusters and at providing a long life to the homogeneous sensor networks. In this paper, we present this algorithm for energy management in sensor networks. It is based on three thresholds. What we propose is a new way to construct clusters. It will allow having a real vision on the energy available in the sensor network at anytime. Our experimentations have shown a reduction in the energy used in comparaison with other methods.

In this paper, we propose a novel method for path setup that optimizes energy consumptions for wireless sensor network. Existing studies usually generate paths according to Random way point approach so that it requires unnecessary energy consumptions for estimating location of the mobile sink node and transmission paths of packets. To address this problem, we propose a method that creates paths for mobile sink node using the Hilbert curve. Moreover, our method adjusts the path of the mobile sink node according to the density of sensor nodes to minimize data transmission delay. A wireless sensor network is an enormous assortment of sensor nodes with inadequate power supply and self-conscious computational competence. Due to the circumscribed communication range and high density of sensor nodes, packet dispatching in sensor networks is usually performed through multi-hop data transmission. For that reason, routing in wireless sensor networks has been deliberated as an imperative field of research over the past decade. These days, multipath routing techniques is widely used in wireless sensor networks to improve network performance over and done with efficient utilization of accessible network resources. Consequently, the main intention of this review is to present the conception of the various routing approaches and its fundamental experiments, as well as the basic motivations for exploiting these techniques in wireless sensor networks. Routing procedures for WSNs are responsible for selecting and maintaining the routes in the network and ensure reliable and effective communication in inadequate periods. The energy constriction of WSNs make energy saving become the most significant objective of various routing algorithms. In this paper, a review of routing protocols and algorithms used in WSNs is presented with energy efficiency as the main goalmouth.
