Abstract:Essential thrombocytosis (ET) is a myeloproliferative neoplasm (together with polycythemia vera, chronic myelogenous leukemia, and primary myelofibrosis) characterized by clonal proliferation of megakaryocytes, usually due to the presence of JAK2, CALR, or MPL mutations.
