Approach to Multi-Criteria Group Decision-Making Problems Based on the Best-Worst-Method and ELECTRE Method

Abstract: This paper proposes a novel approach to cope with the multi-criteria group decision-making problems. We give the pairwise comparisons based on the best-worst-method (BWM), which can decrease comparison times. Additionally, our comparison results are determined with the positive and negative aspects. In order to deal with the decision matrices effectively, we consider the elimination and choice translation reality (ELECTRE III) method under the intuitionistic multiplicative preference relations environment. The… Show more

“…Rezaei et al (2015) used best-worst method to make a connection between supplier development and supplier segmentation. You et al (2016) studied BWM and ELECTRE method (Roy, 1968) in a group decision-making problem. Yang et al (2016) implemented BWM for assessment of abroad talents in a real-world case study in China.…”

“…It could be implemented to select the most suitable alternative from a given set of decision variants or their subset [5,6]. The essential prerequisite of the MCGDM is the combination of experts' preferences and judgments about the candidate alternatives versus the conflicting criteria [7], which is a popular trend of present research to develop new group MCDM methods [8][9][10][11].…”

“…The degree of non-membership at the kth alternative versus the jth criterion is regarded higher than the lth alternative versus the jth criterion in weak concordance set; thus, Equation (22) can be more concordant than (23).…”
