“…The genotoxicological evaluation showed that the majority of the tested compounds (84/90, 93%) induced significant DNA damage in a dose‐dependent manner, while a small fraction of them (4/90, 5%) showed genotoxicity only at the highest dose: the herbicide 2,4‐dichlorophenoxyacetic acid at 4.02 mg/L (Özkul et al, 2016), the multiwalled carbon nanotubes at 10 μg/mL (Ghosh et al, 2015a), the electromagnetic field radiations at 2100 MHz for 4 h (Chandel et al, 2019a) and the 500 mg/L‐methyl orange contaminated water (Alaguprathana et al, 2022). Only two compounds (2%) were found to be non‐genotoxic: the organic molecule pyroligneous acid at concentration ranging from 0.005% to 3% (Sivaram et al, 2022) and the hematite nanoparticles at 20, 60, and 100 mg/L (Rath et al, 2020), both tested on onion bulbs (Figure 6).…”
