“…Arguably, since the mass media provide an ideological framework for the interpretation of ethnic events (Van Dijk, 1991), the analyses of news discourse emphasize the importance of the mediating role of cognitive states and links between social structures and individual behavior. Larson et al (2019) address how cognitive psychology research related to traditional texts and news discourse applies to information garnered in the changing social media environment and especially false information. In conclusion, most studies concentrate on the diversified and balanced development of application fields, actively combining journalism, ecology, politics, sociology, cognitive psychology with other disciplines to conduct interdisciplinary research so as to continuously deepen and expand scope and field of CDA applied in news discourse, enhancing the breadth and depth of news discourse studies.…”
