Applications of Nanoparticles in Various Fields

Abstract: Nanoparticles (NPs) are tiny particles having dimensions ranging from 1 nm to 100 nm. Nanoparticles are field of profound scientific interest, on account of diverse conceivable applications in various fields such as electronic, optical, agriculture, biomedical, etc. Many of the interesting properties of nanoparticles are intimately linked on shape and size of nanomaterials. In nanoparticles, percentage of surface atoms are high; nanoparticles show properties dependent on shape which are utilized in catalysis, … Show more

“…The properties of nanoparticles have radically changed the shape and size of nanomaterials. Singh et al [167] provide an overview of the uses of nanoparticles within various fields based on their physical properties, such as density, electrical conductivity, lowmelting point, chemical stability, and biocompatibility. For example, given their unique characteristics, silicon nanoparticles (SiNPs) have demonstrated good practical results in biosensors [168].…”

“…Nanomaterial found diverse applications in various different fields, including physics, electronics, chemistry, and biology. [ 3 ] Among all others, zinc oxide (ZnO) nanomaterial attracted much attention due to its various applications. ZnO is the most important and promising inorganic material due to its interesting properties, namely, wide direct bandgap (3.27 eV), large excitonic bonding (60 meV), good piezoelectricity, and transparency in the visible range apart from its nontoxicity, abundance, and chemical stability.…”
