Applications for General Collective Intelligence

Abstract: General Collective Intelligence or GCI has been described as a system that organizes groups into a single collective intelligence with the potential for vastly greater general problem-solving ability than any individual in the group. This paper explores examples of the classes of problems that might be solved with GCI.

“…Metaphysical processes may be seen as being controlled by the causal-agent networks of intelligence processes that ideally operate coherently and relationally [35] to take parametric observations from a source and create intrinsic information that may then transform to satisfy a target's ontological epistemology. The exploration of such causal-agent relational dynamics requires development ( [284][285][286], cited in [35]) to provide a promise for predicting the mutual impacts of sapience and sentience. Assuming that the causal-agent networks are each individually coherent and relationally efficacious, and are thus not responsible for the creation of noise during the transformations and are carrying intrinsic information, then the system supporting a causal-agent continues to have structure-forming stability.…”

“…For Williams [73], GCI enables intelligent agents to become organised into a collective intelligence with improved problem-solving ability. GCI functionality has the potential to increase the impact on collective challenges through decentralised collective efficacious coordination, as opposed to optimisation.…”

“…This is a required condition common to evolutionary processes. Williams [73,87] considers some propositions that can satisfy subagency fitness maximisation for GCI. Since each subagency has a functionality, collectively, they must interact according to certain principles of decentralised cooperation so that they are able to maximise fitness outcomes for each.…”
