Wytwarzanie wyrobów z ceramiki technicznej o złożonej geometrii wymaga zastosowania maszyn CNC o określonych możliwościach technologicznych, specjalnych narzędzi ściernych oraz właściwie opracowanych programów sterujących. W artykule pokazano parametryczne programowanie obróbki przedmiotów wykonanych z ceramiki technicznej na szlifierce do wałków z osią C sterowaną numerycznie. Przedstawiono również analizę czasu obróbki typoszeregu części o sparametryzowanej geometrii.Słowa kluczowe: programowanie parametryczne, szlifowanie, szlifierka CNC, wyroby ceramiczne WprowadzenieZapotrzebowanie na wyroby ceramiczne o złożonej geometrii prowadzi do potrzeby doskonalenia maszyn technologicznych sterowanych numerycznie oraz realizowanych na nich procesów obróbki. Ponieważ obróbka ceramiki technicznej po końcowym spieczeniu (rys. 1.) jest możliwa przez zastosowanie procesów obróbki ściernej, doskonalenie tych procesów staje się istotnym zagadnieniem współczesnej technologii obróbki ceramiki [1][2][3].Ze względu na duży popyt ze strony krajowych i zagranicznych przedsię-biorstw na ceramiczne części maszyn o złożonych kształtach (rys. 2.), przy braku wytycznych prowadzenia obróbki, oraz potrzebę podnoszenia efektywności (w tym wydajności) procesów, przed przedsiębiorstwami związanymi z produkcją ceramicznych części maszyn są stawiane wyzwania technologiczne polegające na opracowaniu i wdrażaniu właściwych technologii, które umożliwią reagowanie na potrzeby rynku oraz spowodują ich dalszy rozwój.

Abstract:The aim of this study was to investigate the possibility of a freeform fabrication of porous ceramic parts through selective laser sintering (SLS). SLS was proposed to manufacture ceramic green parts because this additive manufacturing technique can be used to fabricate three-dimensional objects directly without a mold, and the technique has the capability of generating porous ceramics with controlled porosity. However, ceramic printing has yet fully achieved its 3D fabrication capabilities without using polymer binder. Except for the limitation of high melting point, brittleness and low thermal shock resistance from instinct ceramic material properties, the key hurdle lies on very poor absorptivity of oxide ceramics to fiber laser which is widely installed in the commercial SLS equipment. An alternative solution to overcome the poor laser absorptivity via improving material compositions was presented in this study. The positive effect of carbon additive on the absorptivity of silica powder to fiber laser will be discussed. To investigate the capabilities of the SLS process, 3D porous silica structures were successfully prepared and characterized.

Overcut is a major reason for the dimensional deviations, especially during high aspect ratio micromachining in electrochemical discharge machining (ECDM). Since electrolyte concentration plays a vital role in material removal, by understanding the effect of electrolyte concentration on the machined feature, it is possible to reduce the overcut associated with the ECDM process. This reduction in overcut was used in the study to drill high aspect ratio microholes in glass. The effect of concentration on the overcut is explained with an analytical model. The model considers the thermal effects on material removal for ECDM assuming a high-temperature chemical etching mechanism for the material removal. It describes the effect of electrolyte concentration as well as machining time on material removal. Results reveal that at the microscale, tool diameter has minimal effect on overcut for a given machining voltage. Microholes with aspect ratios as high as 12 were produced in glass in this study.
