Application of the Theory of Constraints for Continuous Improvement of a Production Process-Case Study

Abstract: Abstract. The paper presents the example of practical application of theory of constraints. We use this conception to improve production process in the case of company producing electrical equipment for the mining industry. During the observation and on the basis of the ERP system used in the company as well as process mapping, the area in which the so called "bottleneck" problems are present was determined according to the theory of constraints. Analysis of the "bottleneck" using theory of constraints was car… Show more

“…The concept of subjectivity is understood as a situation "in which a person or group of people, realizing a conscious influence on matters important to themselves, achieves results that are unequivocally satisfactory in self-assessment and significant in the overall balance of organizational influences". By fulfilling this function, employees are satisfied with the need for their self-fulfillment, recognition or dignity, as well as an appropriate place in the organizational structure of the enterprise and their interests are taken into account (Gembalska-Kwiecień, 2017c; Wolniak et al, 2017). Thanks to this, employees are aware that they have an influence on their own behavior and that they are responsible for their own actions.…”
