Application of the Concept of Linear Equation Systems in Balancing Chemical Reaction Equations

Abstract: This study discusses the equalization of chemical reactions using a system of linear equations with the Gaussian and Gauss-Jordan elimination. The results show that there is a contradiction in the existing methods for balancing chemical reactions. This study also aims to criticize several studies that say that the equalization of the reaction coefficient can use a system of linear equations. In this paper, the chemical equations were balanced by representing the chemical equation into systems of linear equatio… Show more

“…Motivated by this necessity, our research endeavours to present a novel approach to chemical reaction balancing, offering a solution that is both efficient and precise [7]. We introduce a dedicated Python module engineered to automate the balancing process while prioritizing versatility, ease of integration, and robust algorithmic foundations [8]- [10].…”

“…For complicated reactions with several reactants and products, these methods may be timeconsuming. Manual balancing is also skill-dependent and may be inaccurate (Johar, 2020).…”
