Application of solid matrix priming to ameliorate salinity stress in mung bean (Vigna radiata)

Abstract: Present study aimed to study the responses of mung bean seedlings under 0, 4 and 8dSm -1 concentrations after Solid matrix priming (SMP), using celite matrix 10% moisture with 15 different elicitors such as kinetin, napthalene acetic acid (NAA), abscisic acid (ABA), salicylic acid, chitosan, calcium chloride (CaCl 2 ), gibberellic acid (GA 3 ), putrescine, gallic acid, Catechol, proline, lanthanum chloride (LaCl 3 ) , ethylene glycol bis (2-aminoethyl ether) tetra acetic acid (EGTA), sodium nitroprusside (SNP)… Show more

“…The efficacy of this prepared nano-conjugate on germination, salinity stress mitigation (NaCl mediated), and seedling growth of bread wheat was compared with the efficiency of simple iron nanoparticles, iron-manganese (Fe–Mn) nanocomposites and normal GQDs. Moreover, synthesized nano-conjugates were applied through solid matrix priming (SMP), the process itself was reported for alleviation of salt stress 24 , 25 . After the application of different nanomaterials, germination-related parameters, stress-related index, phenotypic appearance of seedling, biochemical, enzymatic, and non-enzymatic antioxidant and oxidative stress (both qualitative and quantitative) attributes were examined to evaluate the effectiveness of the applied formulations.…”
