The over 2200 lakes of Mongolia are generally poorly studied, particularly the glacial lakes. This overview study presents a classification of the glacial lakes based on tectonic-geological and geomorphological dynamics. Selected representative lakes are described using results from fieldwork and satellite image analysis, including bathymetry, paleoshorelines, and recent lake-level fluctuations between 1987 and 2020. Generally, lake levels dropped from the early Holocene until recently, with the onset of the climate change-driven glacier recession that has resulted in lake-level rises and area expansion in almost all moraine-dammed, tongue-basin, and ice-contact lakes. In contrast, endorheic lakes have mainly been shrinking for the past forty years because of an increase in air temperature and evaporation rates and the effects of an intensifying water use within the catchment for irrigation, mining, and hydroelectric energy production in the form of dams. The creation of a lake monitoring system based on an in-depth inventory is recommended.

On the premise of being familiar with ArcGIS Server technology, we build the architecture of the entire platform, including the basic support layer, data layer, service platform layer, and application layer, and build the entire environment of the platform. We make electronic maps through Arc Map, and collect, organize, and improve spatial data and attribute data, so as to achieve satisfactory accuracy and visual comfort. This study implements various map services under the Dojo framework, including basic map operations, information display and query, marker points, eagle eye diagrams, measurement, printing, and other functions, and uses JavaScript technology to improve user experience. We publish various services through ArcGIS Server, and realize fast and error-free invocation of each service. Based on the theory of runoff and runoff, ArcGIS software was used to study the hydrological information of the watershed, and to determine the catchment area threshold and hydrological response unit. Combined with the GIS spatial analysis method, the numerical simulation of rainfall and runoff in the study case area was carried out, and the variation of the annual rainfall-runoff coefficient was obtained. This study selects an area where stock planning was first proposed as the object of this research. Briefly, we introduce the construction of three-dimensional public space in a certain area, select thirteen typical three-dimensional public spaces as representatives for public evaluation, and explore their existing problems, mainly including the lack of adaptability of space functions and the lack of diversity in space design, privatization of operation management, low level of public perception, etc. Since then, in response to the public problems of the three-dimensional public space in a certain area, a targeted three-dimensional public space optimization strategy is proposed from the four levels of planning policy, urban design, management subject, and user subject.

Abstract. Understanding the variation of Water Extent (WE) can provide insights into Wetland conservation and management. In this study, and-inter inner-annual variations of WE were analyzed during 2019–2021 to understand the spatiotemporal changes of the International Shadegan Wetland, Iran. We utilized a thresholding process on Modified Normalized Difference Water Index (MNDWI) to extract the WE quickly and accurately using the Google Earth Engine (GEE) platform. The water surface analysis showed that: (1) WE had a downward trend from 2019 to 2021, with the overall average WE being 1405.23 km2; (2) the water area reached its peak due to the water supply to International Shadegan Wetland through the Jarahi River and upstream reservoirs at the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020, and the largest water body appeared in Winter 2019, reaching 1953.31 km2. In contrast, the smallest water body appeared in Autumn 2021, reaching 563.56 km2; (3) The WE of the wetland showed predictable seasonal characteristics. The water area in Winter was the largest, with an average value of 1829.1 km2, while it was the smallest in Summer, with an average value of 1100.3 km2; (4) The average water area in 2019 was 1490.5 km2 whereas in 2020 and 2021 decreased by 9% and 25%, respectively, and reached 968.6 km2 and 811.9 km2. Finally, to evaluate the proposed model, its results were compared with the Random Forest (RF) classification results. Accordingly, Histogram Analysis (HA) classification achieved 94.6% of the average overall accuracy and the average Kappa coefficient of 0.93, but the RF method obtained 95.38% of the average overall accuracy and an average Kappa coefficient of 0.94.
