“…Specifically, we describe a structure that simultaneously models the survival probabilities and discharge hazards, without pre‐specifying the correlation structure between the two, by extending an approach as advocated by Sun et al ( 2004 , 2006 ), Zhao et al ( 2011 , 2013 ), Lee et al ( 2015 ), and Wang et al ( 2015 ).
