Abstract

The application of liner systems featuring swellable elastomeric packers in well construction has emerged as a groundbreaking development within the oil and gas industry. This technology, which will be discussed in detail in this paper, addresses critical wellbore challenges, providing an in-depth exploration of its advantages and the transformative effects it has on well construction. Swellable elastomeric packers, a key component of these liner systems, play a pivotal role in overcoming various wellbore obstacles. Their unique design allows them to expand when in contact with wellbore fluids, establishing a robust and reliable seal.
