“…After finding the parameters of each adsorption isotherm, three more error functions were calculated as simultaneous tools to be used when deciding upon the best model: (1) RMSD function (root mean squared deviations), see Equation (9), (2) HYBRID function (hybrid fractional error deviation), see Equation (10) in which p is the number of parameters of the model [ 42 , 50 ], and (3) R 2 adjusted , see Equation (6). …”

“…Table 4 lists the calculus results for the eight isotherms taken into consideration: the value of their parameters as well as of the three above-mentioned error functions. The footnotes indicate the units of the parameters for each isotherm [ 49 , 50 ]. A good quality fit simultaneously satisfies the following requests: R 2 adjusted as close to 1 as possible, whereas RMSD and HYBRID ought to be as close to zero as possible.…”

“…These findings imply that MB is adsorbed in monolayers on the surfaces of Fe 3 O 4 -CHBNC and Fe 3 O 4 -KLBNC. The Temkin isotherm model assumes an interaction between the adsorbent and adsorbate [61]. According to this model, the heat of adsorption of all molecules in a certain layer decreases linearly with surface coverage.…”

“…All materials were obtained from Xi’an Qiyue Biotechnology Co. We weighed 200 mg of DOTSOV, WIZMAV, and RUBTAK, dried them at 353.15 K under vacuum for 6 h, and subjected them to CH 4 isothermal adsorption at atmospheric pressure using a corrosive gas-adsorption analyzer (BSD-PMC) at 298 K; the equilibrium time for the adsorption was 120 s. To obtain adsorption isotherms, we introduced a certain amount of CH 4 adsorbate gas into the sample tube and measured the adsorption partial pressure by controlling the equilibrium pressure in the sample tube. We finally obtained the adsorption isotherm by gradually adding the adsorbate gas to increase the adsorption equilibrium pressure …”
