Application of information theory to clinical diagnostic testing. The electrocardiographic stress test.

Abstract: SUMMARY The inherent imperfection of clinical diagnostic tests introduces uncertainty into their interpretation. The magnitude of diagnostic uncertainty after any test result may be quantified by information theory.
