Application of electroencephalography in the management of postoperative cognitive dysfunction

Abstract: Postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) is a common postoperative complication in elder patients, elevating the risk of dementia, impacting patient prognosis, and adding to the socio-economic burden. Electroencephalography (EEG) enables the recording of brain electrical activity and reflects the state of consciousness.
