Application of Dissolved Gas Analysis Standards and Methods on Raw Gas Sample

Abstract

Dissolved gas analysis (DGA) is a tool to diagnose and identify faults that causing abnormal thermal or electrical activity inside power transformers, which could give rise to the aging and degrading of oil and pressboard. Different DGA standards and methods will be reviewed, and discussed in the paper, followed by a demonstration of application of three DGA method on a dissolved gas dataset.
