Abstract: Background Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) was used to detect microstructural alteration and influence of surgical intervention of the trigeminal nerve root (TR) in patients with classical trigeminal neuralgia (CTN) without neurovascular compression (woNVC) who had undergone internal neurolysis (IN).
